About Me

Tor Swerdlow - BSc, PGCE, MEd

I have over 25 years of experience teaching Maths and English, KS2 through to adults, working both in mainstream and with students with SEN and Specific Learning Difficulties. In particular dyslexia, ADHD and ASD.

Everyone learns in a different way so I work with each student to find the best way they like to learn. I help them to understand what they are studying and to find connections and purpose rather than teach a number of different and seemingly disconnected methods. This has been very effective and I have helped many students both achieve their targets and smash past them.

One to one tuition and small classes give students the opportunity to receive immediate feedback, ask questions and practice skills in a safe and supportive environment with no distractions. (Apart from, occasionally, some cats! )

My main purpose is to help each individual develop confidence in themselves as a learner and to see how much they can achieve with the right guidance.
